Sencha is a type of Japanese ryokucha (green tea) which is prepared

by infusing the processed whole tea leaves in hot water.

Sencha is the most popular tea in Japan,

representing about 80 percent of the tea produced in Japan.

Our sencha green tea is produced in a foggy mountainside of Uji-Tawara Town in Kyoto,

and made from tea leaves grown

with only natural organic fertilizer and no agricultural chemicals or pesticides.

How to Prepare the Tea:

1.    Place 2-3 tablespoons of tea leaves in a teapot.

2.    Add about 180ml of hot water (around 60-90 degrees Celsius) into the pot.

3.    Wait while the tea’s components infuse. (About one minute)

4.    Pour the tea into a cup. Pour the tea until the last drop is poured.

 

 

 

How to Store:

Store the tea leaves in a cool, dark place in airtight containers such as airtight glass jars, for tea leaves are very sensitive to the influence by the temperature, humidity, or light.

Also, tea leaves tend to absorb odor, so please be careful when stored in the refrigerator.
